Often all we need is a hot bath and a good night’s sleep
Life has its own rhythm, we often have to accept unexpected situations and, in many cases, we just have to accept them. Not every day is happy or things happen as we expect them to, not every day can we declare a victory. Our life constantly oscillates between the happy moments, with success and conquest, and the quiet or negative days, in which we do not advance or even go back on our path.
We can feel extremely frustrated and disappointed when we have bad days, when we are betrayed or rejected by those we love, or when things do not happen the way we imagine, but we cannot always do anything to change the situation and we can only accept it.
If we fight against the natural order of things, we will only end up tired, we must stop insisting that some people stay and that events follow our script. Some days, we just need to let things flow as they should, get home, take a hot bath and get a good night’s sleep.
The power of simple things
Some people underestimate the power of simple things, but the truth is that they can restore our mind and spirit. A warm bath and a good night’s sleep help us to put our heads back on track, to evaluate our lives and to decide what is really worthwhile, what is worth our attention and dedication.
Taking the time to take care of ourselves and rest can bring us the clarity of mind we so desperately need. You’ve probably faced a difficult situation where you couldn’t find the right answer and then it all became clear when you stopped thinking about the situation for a moment and focused on yourself, taking care of yourself and putting your mind at ease.
Often we don’t need quick fixes, perfect words or acts of revenge, we just need to breathe and love each other a little. Complicated situations will never stop happening, but the way we deal with them can make them much less painful. From now on, whenever you are frustrated, take a hot bath and go to bed early.
Stop mortifying yourself with negative thoughts and allow yourself moments of peace and quiet, the next morning you will have more confidence. Giving our mind and body a rest is a sacred therapy that never fails.
