A single minute of anger causes six hours of bodily harm
No matter how hard we try, there will always be situations that will get out of hand and make us irritable, causing us to have a bad day, and accumulating more stress than we previously had. Anger is nobody’s friend, it affects most people and when we let it get hold of us, the results can affect our health completely. It is therefore our duty to avoid it.
One minute of anger ruins your whole day and affects your health
How many times have you woken up upset or seen how a single thing that happens can give you a bad day? No doubt it has happened to all of us. Suddenly someone says or does something that irritates us and we immediately react badly, not only to that person, but to ourselves. These reactions can be considered normal, but isn’t having the flu normal?
When we get sick with the flu at least once a year, we consider this to be something habitual to which we are accustomed, and the flu affects our immune system. Well, the same thing happens when we have a temper tantrum. Scientific studies have shown that like other illnesses, anger and hatred can affect our immune system for up to 6 hours or more depending on your level of anger.
Not for nothing, when you get angry you notice that certain parts of your body become stressed and start to hurt for no apparent reason. That’s why just as we try to avoid getting the flu, we should also avoid getting angry, angry and even hateful. To make this possible we will give you some advice:
- Take advantage of the fact that your brain does not know how to distinguish the real from the imaginary and use it to remember pleasant moments in your life. One thing we usually do is when we are angry or sad, we remember painful or upsetting situations that only aggravate our condition. If you seek to feed your mind with positive moments your anger level will be reduced.
- Look at something beautiful. According to neuroscientist Rick Hanson, it takes the human brain just 12 seconds to look at a beautiful landscape and feel much better.
- Don’t try to exaggerate the situations. As you well know, we are used to adding more things to all the bad things that happen to us, and as we repeat the story of what happened, we exaggerate it more and more. In view of this, it is time to sit down and reflect, first isolate the main problem. And that is that usually happens on a bad day tend to happen more and more bad things, or at least we see it. So, look at the problem and see it from a more real perspective, so that you can find a more appropriate solution.
- Finally, breathe and realize that life is full of ups and downs, live each day to the fullest and when the bad day comes just indulge yourself but without feeding the wolf of rage, you will see how everything is resolved more easily.
