Don’t be judged by those who don’t live your story!
It takes a lot of courage to put ourselves in the place of others, empathy allows us to become aware of how unfair we are to people who are only in need of help.
Being a mere spectator of someone else’s life does not give you the authority to judge what you are not living. We human beings love to have a say in the reactions or attitudes of others to a situation, we can even be more daring and disapprove of the decisions of those who are going through a circumstance unknown to us.
If we don’t really know what triggered someone else’s behavior, it’s best to be quiet and non-judgmental. Those who break up a relationship, quit a job, love as they like or speak their mind end up being the target of the poison of those who cannot see themselves and denigrate the other. How can they make value judgments based on only superficial knowledge, without having lived up close to any of the stories that are not their own?
It is important to emphasize that each person feels and perceives the world under his own vision. The experiences are those that directly influence the perception of each individual, which is why no one feels the same at all before a certain event. Some may feel pain or pleasure, sadness or joy for the same stimulus, so it is presumptuous to think that everything we believe is right.
It is necessary that each one of us exercise empathy, put ourselves in the other’s place, understand them before criticizing them. We can begin by understanding that extreme decisions are almost never made by those who are well and quiet, but by people locked in pain and despair. So don’t let anyone judge you without first having lived your story, without having shared anything with you, without ever having asked you if you needed anything.
Ignore all those who attack your position without understanding, those who judge without knowing, those who comment by being ignorant, because most people only care about what they think and place themselves in a position of wisdom where they are the only ones who know the truth, even though they themselves make mistakes and try to hide behind their perfection. Remember that, after all, no one can be as ruthless as our own conscience.
