Walking makes the brain more creative and cures sadness
Automating our brain can lead to stress and depression.
Whenever we are immersed in a routine, the only thing we achieve is to make our brains stagnate in one direction, making us more and more automatic, like a robot created to perform a unique amount of tasks a day that will be repeated the next day. This does not benefit us at all, on the contrary, it leads us to live a more unsatisfactory life. But all this can change if we just add at least one hour of walking a day.
Walking takes away your sadness and makes you more creative
The accelerated pace of our lives has led us to suppress certain freedoms and replace them with work. This has made people’s stress levels increase. But that’s not all, because the materialistic world we find ourselves in where capitalism rules has also led to pressures we didn’t have before.
We are now desperately looking to work many more hours a day with the sole purpose of making more money. However, even though we are aware of this, we are unhappy. It is as if everything we do is an obligation that afflicts us and fills us with sadness. At the end of the day, instead of feeling good about having done a good day’s work, we go around wishing that the weekend would come soon or that the night hours would get longer.
This happens because we have sought to adapt to flat routines, to perform activities that often do not please us. Even if you love your job, the excess of it can lead to such strong dissatisfaction that without realizing why, you begin to feel tired, sad and perhaps angry.
Flat routines make us automatic beings, who do things without passion, but to fulfill. You may not have noticed, but your tiredness today, or your low spirits may be subject to a routine that does not have hours of truly fruitful recreation.
It is important to note, that this does not mean that if you work in front of the computer, in your free time you will watch a movie on Netflix or play games on your mobile. It is about doing physical activities that allow your mind to recreate itself. Clearing your mind is the only way to recharge it and motivate it to act more focused and determined, and this is achieved with activities as simple as walking.
Among the benefits of walking you find that
- Improve your mood.
- Eliminate your worries.
- It allows you to have contact with nature and the world around you.
- Increase your levels of creativity.
- Improve your heart rate.
- It eliminates stress.
- It helps you sleep better at night (walking at least one hour a day).
- Improve your quality of life.
Knowing this, it’s time to think a little about yourself and less about work and obtaining material things. Your health is the most important thing and if you lose it nothing you have will be worthwhile. So, worry about adding at least an hour’s walk a day to your routine, your body, mind and health will thank you for it.
