“No one is made of iron!” No matter how strong you are, you’ll always need help from time to time
Most of us want to be strong and independent all the time, but we are made of flesh and blood, we have emotions to deal with and situations that sometimes overwhelm us. So we have to put pride aside and look for a lap to lean on.
No matter how old we are, having a lap where we feel safe is fundamental to happiness and good mental health. From time to time, we need a hug that frees our souls from tension.
Don’t be afraid or embarrassed, we all need others at some point. Surely if you are one of those people who likes to listen to others, you will find it hard to tell your problems and express your emotions. But if you find someone you trust, tell them what you feel, and you will be free and receive the affection you need in return. There is nothing negative about telling what you feel.
People who play hard to get are the ones who need a hug the most
There are people who look like an oak tree. They are strong, no matter the adversity they seem to have all the capacity to face it. However, often people who look like oaks simply have difficulty expressing their emotions and decide to be strong. But all they need in the midst of the storm is a big hug.
If you are this kind of person, perhaps out of pride or fear you find it hard to express yourself and let yourself be loved. Saying what you feel is not a sign of weakness; on the contrary, you don’t know how fresh you will feel in your heart and how free your thoughts will be.
We are happier when we can share with others what we feel, don’t make your mind and heart a prison where you lock up sadness and melancholy.
There are many ways to embrace
Hugging is more than just putting your arms around a person. It means covering, supporting, giving affection, tenderness, understanding, helping to let off steam, and many other things. No matter how strong you are or how old you are, you need a hug, you need understanding.
Only when we are understood do we feel part of something, otherwise we just think we are on the edge, alone, dealing with our problems. You need to have a shoulder to lean on. You probably have a lot of people leaning on you, but you need to feel supported as well.
No matter how hard it is, let go of the fear, learn to ask for help. There are problems that you can effectively solve on your own, but in most cases you need oxygen, a word of encouragement that will lift you up. You can only be a source of life for others if within you, you have also received light and life from others. Human beings need feedback to live healthy on an emotional level.
Be strong, balanced, fight and work like a bull, but do not forget that you deserve understanding and reciprocity. Lack of affection oxidizes the body and wrinkles the face.
