Habits that turn our home into a toxic place
Our home is that place where we spend most of our time, it is our refuge not only from the inclemencies of nature but also from our bad days. Likewise, our home is the place we share with our loved ones so it is extremely important to have it full of good energies so that it always stays clean spiritually.
In the next post we’ll show you some habits you may be having in your home and have turned it into a toxic place, if so it’s time to do something about it.
Habits that will tell if you live in a toxic household
A University College London study by psychologists found that people who had negative relationships at home were at increased risk of heart attacks with deadly consequences. For this reason we have not taken the liberty of bringing you some habits that you might want to avoid in order to keep your home in harmony and avoid such devastating negative effects.
Hostile behaviour
We often create a hostile environment in our homes without even realizing it. What contributes to this is the lack of dialogue, smiles, conversation and connection. In these environments there is no complicity or companionship, and people seem to live in constant competition, leaving no room for peace and serenity. In the face of this, it is important to find a way to solve problems, rather than blaming the other person and waiting for the situation to resolve itself.
Shouting
Screaming is negative and harmful to everyone in the house, but especially to children. A study by Harvard Medical School showed that frequent exposure to screaming can cause personality disorders and affect children’s emotional stability because it affects the structure and integration of both parts of the child’s brain. To preserve the health of everyone in the home, it is important to reduce yelling to zero because it does not solve any situation, only makes it more dramatic.
Chaos
We spend most of our time in our homes, and they directly influence our mental, emotional and physical state. Therefore, if your home is not organized, it can cause you stress, tiredness and discouragement. When we live in chaotic and rule-free environments, we cannot process quality information, which affects all areas of our lives.
Drama
We cannot always get rid of life’s dramatic moments, but it is crucial to keep them away from our homes. The energies we retain directly influence our surroundings, and when we harbor feelings of pessimism and constant complaints, this negativity affects both the people around us and our home. To change this reality, we need to turn our negative attitude into a positive one, which will have a better effect on our home.
Disclaimer
If people who live together in a home do not have positive feelings for each other, such as appreciation and respect, relationships cannot evolve and everyone will always lack support to move forward. It is not difficult to express appreciation for the people around us. Small attitudes such as a thank you, a compliment, a hug or even kindness can make the other person’s day much happier. Remember that all people are unique and deserve to be valued. Always focus on the strengths and qualities of those around you rather than just their negatives.
