What happens when you don’t express your emotions?
Emotions are the manifestations of the soul in the face of external stimuli and in response to processes so internal that even you are not aware of them. Be that as it may, emotions are meant to come out.
It is true that not all emotion can come out of the way it is generated, as there is no shortage of occasions when we want to hit a wall or, even worse, someone.
Something like this happens when you have held the emotions in you for so long that you can no longer resist them. That’s why we’re here. We’ll tell you all the bad things that can happen when you decide to repress your emotions, including the damage to your skilled hand from banging on the wall.
Not expressing emotions has devastating consequences
Liver damage: the liver is the organ responsible for purifying the body’s toxins, but when your anger reaches the point of personalization, then this faithful friend suffers and no longer wants to do his job. Can you imagine what happens? Imagine that you have a construction company and all your workers are on strike for months. Not only does the construction stop, but the building deteriorates. Similarly, your body will be severely damaged by conserving the toxins that should have come out of it.
Kidney damage: they say that fear paralyzes, but few people tell you that it also damages the kidneys. When you feel a very big fear, your kidneys work poorly and this can lead to the dreaded kidney disease.
Lung damage: happens when you are too sad. Sadness reduces our lung capacity because we breathe less deeply.
Damage to the stomach and pancreas: these are the ones damaged by excessive anxiety. The famous “nerves to the stomach” are nothing but anxiety that materializes through tickling, heartburn and stitches in the stomach. A silent victim of all this is the pancreas, since it will not give you notice that it is sick until the situation is irreversible.
Damage to the large intestine: This damage occurs when you want to dominate others. The frustration of not being able to do so takes its toll on your large intestine, and the discomfort follows without a break.
What happens between the organs and the emotions?
Negative emotions generate harmful substances in the organism, which directly attack the various organs according to the nature of the emotion.
On the other hand, the opposite is also true, that is, if for some physical reason your large intestine is weak or easily irritated, then you will develop the associated emotion: dominance.
Solving this consists of two paths: expressing and healing.
On the one hand, when something causes you discomfort, it is very important for your health that you manifest it. In turn, there is no point in spending your life manifesting if you are going to feel that way again.
Healing is a long, but unavoidable process to achieve well-being. Since it is not through a drug that you will achieve it, you must be patient and find the method that best suits your way of finding wellbeing: music therapy, acupuncture, meditation, homeopathy or laughter therapy, among many other alternatives.
